AC 67: Samburu National Reserve 3 Days – Camping Safari
Samburu Game Reserve is situated in the hot and arid part of Kenya’s vast Northern Frontier District. The reserve is set against a backdrop of volcanic mountains; giant hills withered scrub trees punctuate the sparse and noiseless terrain with clusters of the incredibly hardy desert rose providing occasional flashes of vivid color. It is here, among the large herds of Oryx that we find the rare gravy zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the gerenuks that are only found in this unique park.
Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve.
Depart early in the morning from Nairobi and drive north, a long the foothills of Mount Kenya and across the equator to Samburu. Picnic lunch is had on the way. Late afternoon game drive dinner and overnight at your camp
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
Early morning game drive is followed by a late breakfast in the camp. After which you enjoy an afternoon game drive through the forest of the Ewaso Nyiro River with very good chances of sporting elephants. Dinner and overnight at your camp
Day 3: Samburu - Nairobi
Early morning game drive is followed by breakfast before driving back to Nairobi with picnic lunch en route
