You are driven out to your base camp and set off walking over some of the most dramatic wildlife and scenic areas in Kenya. On some of the safaris, we may add-in the excitement of sleeping under the stars around a camp fire, for others the luxury of the private safari accompanied by a retinue of cooks, waiters and camp help, and for many something in between (comfortable).
Our walks are lead by experienced naturalist tour leaders; usually cover a distance of 8 to 12 miles and start in the dim glow of early dawn. Porters, pack animals or vehicles leaving the hiker unencumbered to enjoy the small not so small curiosities met along the trail carry luggage. In addition to trekking in wild game areas and in order to be near animals such as the lion, elephant and buffalo etc. a part of the time may be spent in the comfort of game viewing vehicles. We are also able to combine a luxury microbus photographic holidays with a section on walking. They provide an even balance between traveling by car and some real outdoor ‘bush’. On most safaris you can expect to see the Big Five and over 20 different mammal species.
These are Safaris that, in the time available, allow you an exciting, close, and intimate contact with both the land we travel through and her native people. The selection include -
